Cross-cultural competence. The Western World
The program is designed for specialists in the field of international relations, regional studies, diplomacy and humanitarian cooperation working with Western countries.
The program provides a holistic understanding of the cultural norms, values, and communication patterns of the Western world necessary for professional work with or living in a region.
The expert seminar will allow students to:
- Build respectful, sustainable and effective communication with representatives of different countries of the Western world.
- Understand the specifics of the negotiation process.
- Identify potential sources of misunderstanding and conflict, and prevent cross-cultural difficulties in professional and personal interactions.
- To understand the social structure and peculiarities of Western psychology.
- Navigate the norms of communication, non-verbal signals and Western etiquette.
- Correctly interpret the behavior, emotional reactions, and communication strategies of Western partners, colleagues, and interlocutors.
- Understand the cultural logic, mentality and value orientations of representatives of the Western world.
