Cross-cultural competence. The Arab World
The program is intended for specialists in the field of international relations, regional studies, diplomacy and humanitarian cooperation working with Arab countries.
The program provides a holistic understanding of the cultural norms, values, and communication patterns of the Arab world necessary for professional work with or living in the region.
The expert seminar will allow students to:
- To establish respectful, sustainable and effective communication with representatives of different countries of the Arab world.
- Understand the specifics of the negotiation process.
- Identify potential sources of misunderstanding and conflict, and prevent cross-cultural difficulties in professional and personal interactions.
- To understand the social structure, the role of religion and the peculiarities of Arab identity.
- Navigate the norms of communication, non-verbal signals and Arabic etiquette.
- Correctly interpret the behavior, emotional reactions, and communication strategies of Arab partners, colleagues, and interlocutors.
- Understand the cultural logic, mentality and value orientations of representatives of the Arab world.
